The method of fertiliser application did not show any significant differences in most of the agronomic variables assessed. However, fertigation yielded a higher average yield (2,319.38 kg/ha) than conventional fertilisation (2,054.57 kg/ha), as well as greater plant height and a longer number of days to maturity. The ‘Rosada de Huancayo’ and ‘Amarilla de Maranganí’ varieties stood out for their higher dry matter production and yield, particularly under fertigation. Nevertheless, the economic analysis showed that conventional fertilisation was more cost-effective, due to the lower cost of the fertilisers used, whilst fertigation increased production costs. The study evaluated the uptake, accumulation and translocation of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) in four quinoa varieties (Rosada de Huancayo, Amarilla de Maranganí, Altiplano and MQPas-50), comparing conventional fertilisation and fertigation throughout the different phenological stages. In the foliage, the uptake of N, P and K followed a similar pattern: increases from leaf growth through to inflorescence development, a decrease during flowering and fertilisation, a second peak at the milky-dough stage, and a decline at physiological maturity. In the inflorescences, fertigation promoted greater accumulation of N and P, whilst the response to K depended on the genotype. Nutrient translocation to the grains was most efficient in the Altiplano and MQPas-50 varieties. In the grains, fertigation increased the accumulation of P and, in some varieties, that of K, with no significant differences in N content. The Amarilla de Maranganí variety exhibited the highest capacity for accumulating N, P and K in the grains and in the whole plant, highlighting genotypic differences in the uptake, distribution and utilisation of nutrients during the crop cycle.
