Desarrollo del mercado peruano de fertilizantes bajo un enfoque global y sostenible

Abstract

El presente trabajo busca describir el mercado de fertilizantes en el Perú durante los últimos 5 años. Se analizó el consumo e importación de este insumo de manera global para situar y entender la dinámica y comportamiento de este mercado para posteriormente entrar a un análisis del mercado peruano. Se tomaron como referencia algunas variables del negocio como consumo y producción mundial de N, P2O5 y K2O para poder comparar el potencial de desarrollo de los fertilizantes en el Perú. Finalizada la recopilación de información estadística sobre los principales indicadores internacionales y nacionales, se procedió a la interpretación y análisis de los datos para describir de forma clara la situación actual de estos productos y los retos que deben encararse si se quiere lograr un negocio sostenible con estos productos. Se pudo observar que en el Perú representa el 0.25% del consumo mundial de fertilizantes. El Perú tiene un déficit en la aplicación de los fertilizantes que puede ser demostrado si se considera la dosis de fertilización recomendada de los principales cultivos sembrados en el Perú. Además, en la información recopilada y revisada se determinó que el Perú tiene un potencial de consumo de N, P2O5 y K2O de 1.08 millones de toneladas contra las 472 mil toneladas que se consumen actualmente.

This essay seeks to describe the peruvian fertilizer market during the last 5 years. The consumption and import of this input were globally analyzed to identify and understand the dynamics and behavior of this market to later enter into an analysis of the peruvian market. Some business references were taken such as global consumption and production of fertilizers in order to compare the potential development of this input in Peru. Once the statistical information of the main international and national indicators was completed, the data was interpreted and analyzed to clearly describe the current situation of this input and the challenges that must be faced to achieve a sustainable business with this input. It was observed that in Peru it represents 0.25% of world consumption. There is a deficit of fertilizer application on peruvian market which is demonstrated when you consider the suggested doses of fertilizer of the main crops, growth in Peru. In addition, in the information carried out, it is realized that Perú has a potential consumption of N, P2O5, K2O of 1.08 million of tons against the current consumption which is 472 thousand tons.
