Abstract
The main objective of the study was to evaluate the parameters used in the targeting process for the selection of areas destined to receive Conditional Direct Transfers (TDC) for the conservation of forests on lands belonging to native communities in the province of Condorcanqui in the department of Amazonas. For this purpose, an application-type and descriptive-level research work with a quantitative approach was carried out, through the application of the factorial analysis technique using socioeconomic and environmental parameters (variables) for the evaluation. The proposal contemplated characterizing the native communities based on these parameters and determining which of them are the most appropriate considering their degree of contribution in the selection of areas for the implementation of a conservation initiative. The main result of the investigation was obtained, indicating that the most relevant significant parameters that could be used to support a conservation initiative for the purpose with the established objectives were "distance to populated centers (.641)", "loss of forests (.745)”, “remaining forest (.730)” and “extreme poverty (.851)”. These parameters have shown a more robust grouping through the statistical analysis performed. In addition, their ability to interpret the factors generated, their favorable response to the tests, and their close relationship with the objectives of the conservation initiative position them as the most appropriate indicators to guide the planning and execution of the initiative.
