Abstract
The general objective of this study was to determine the factors by which graduate graduates in Administration from a state university, 2010-2015, do not complete their thesis. For this purpose, an applicative and descriptive-level investigation was carried out with a qualitative approach, applying the PROTESPO instrument composed of three dimensions: academic factors, economic factors, and psychosocial factors. To determine the internal reliability of the PROTESPO instrument, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α) was calculated for each factor, assuming that they are highly correlated. The main result of the research is to determine that there are academic, economic, and psychosocial factors that prevent master's graduates from choosing to finish their graduate thesis. The preponderant academic factors were the difficulty of following the university format in the design of the thesis project with 71 percent, especially related to the complexity of preparing the consistency matrix 93 percent and the difficulty of permanently accessing to personalized advice 64 percent; the preponderant economic factor is the family burden, with a 71 percent response and the preponderant psychosocial factor is the time factor, since 100 percent affirm that they do not have time to work on their project. Other factors found were procrastination or postponement of work on several occasions with 79 percent and the anxiety generated by working on the project 71 percent.
