Gestión del riego y fertilización del pimiento (Capsicum annuum L.) cv. Aristotle en Lambayeque

Abstract

La exportación de pimiento en Perú ha venido tomando un lugar importante. En el presente trabajo se describió la gestión de agua y fertilización del pimiento california cv Aristotle en la zona de Cayalti – Lambayeque bajo manejo de agro industria. Al estar encargado de ciertas funciones dentro del área de riego y fertilización se comprendió la importancia de ser eficiente con el uso del agua y fertilizantes para obtener la calidad y cantidad de fruta esperada que permita ser rentable. Por ello se describirá las estrategias, parámetros, procedimientos y tecnologías que se utilizaron para lograr el equilibrio ideal entre crecimiento vegetativo y crecimiento generativo del pimiento. Este manejo permite el ahorro de recursos manteniendo la misma producción y calidad exportable.

Pepper exports in Peru have been gaining significant importance. In this study, the water and fertilization management of California pepper cv. Aristotle in the Cayalti–Lambayeque area under agro-industrial management was described. By being responsible for certain functions within the irrigation and fertilization area, I have come to understand the importance of using water and fertilizers efficiently to achieve the expected fruit quality and yield that ensures profitability. Therefore, the strategies, parameters, procedures, and technologies used to achieve the ideal balance between vegetative and generative growth in peppers will be described. This management approach allows for resource savings while maintaining the same production and exportable quality.
