Abstract
In order to implement an occupational health and safety management system (OSHMS), and comply with the legal mandate of Law No. 29783, this study will evaluate the hazards and risks in the production process of cardboard tube manufacturing. To achieve this, the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) of Natura Cartones S.A.C. was evaluated through a baseline diagnosis of the OSHMS and, based on this, it was determined which are the most critical processes that could cause some type of incident or accident at work. Initially, the result of the company's global compliance was 50.54 percent, where it was determined that the production process of cardboard tube manufacturing is the most crucial and characteristic for the determination of hazards and risks in Natura Cartones S.A.C. The SGSST of this manufacturing company (cardboard tubes) is in its implementation phase and has been in place for a short period of time. Among the main hazards that stand out are the local ones, such as lack of order and cleanliness, as well as the presence of stairs or ramps to access the warehouse, and exposure to sharp and pointed objects. In addition, the second most common type of hazard found was ergonomic, derived from the manual movement of loads, prolonged standing and repetitive tasks. Finally, the most prevalent hazard in the processes corresponds to mechanical hazards, associated with interaction with machines or moving parts, as well as the use of cutting tools with blades or cutters.
