Abstract

Due to this weakness, the research was carried out, whose general objective is to determine how ecotourism circuits are related to sustainable development and the specific objectives are to determine the relationship with the diagnosis of tourism resources, ecotourism circuit designs , the regulations on tourism and ecotourism and the levels of sustainable development. To answer the objectives, the methodology of "descriptive design with a mixed approach of cross-level and correlational level" was used. In the descriptive part, interviewing techniques, field work, focus groups, observation and content analysis were used, as a result we managed to register 16 tourism resources used to design four ecotourism circuits and then they were analyzed with levels of sustainable development. In the correlation level part, the survey technique was used to correlate the variables and finally, the data that was obtained were used with the statistical test: Pearson's correlation coefficient and linear regression, as a result it was obtained that the Pearson's R is of (0.831) is high and positive, so it is concluded that there is a high correlation between the ecotourism circuit and sustainable development, that is, the greater the development of the ecotourism circuit, the greater the sustainable development in the native Nuevo Lamas community.
