Cardening the Water 2026: Memorias del Encuentro Académico por el Día Mundial del Agua (Primera edición)

Abstract

La presente memoria reúne once trabajos organizados en cuatro ejes temáticos: Hidrología y Procesos en Cuencas; Calidad del Agua y Diagnóstico Ambiental; Tecnologías y Soluciones Basadas en la Naturaleza; y Humedales, Servicios Ecosistémicos y Gestión Sostenible del Agua. En conjunto, estos trabajos reflejan la diversidad de enfoques, herramientas y metodologías que los estudiantes emplean para comprender, evaluar y proponer soluciones orientadas a la gestión sostenible del agua, el ambiente y el territorio. Esta primera edición reunió a estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), la Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR) y la Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur (UNTELS), quienes presentaron investigaciones desarrolladas en el marco de cursos, proyectos académicos e iniciativas de investigación. Los trabajos reunidos en esta memoria reflejan el compromiso, la creatividad y el rigor con que los estudiantes abordan los desafíos asociados a la comprensión, protección y gestión sostenible del agua, el ambiente y el territorio.

This volume includes eleven contributions organised into four thematic sections: Hydrology and Watershed Processes; Water Quality and Environmental Assessment; Technologies and Nature-based Solutions; and Wetlands, Ecosystem Services and Sustainable Water Management. Collectively, these studies reflect the diversity of approaches, tools, and methodologies that students employ to understand, assess, and propose solutions for the sustainable management of water, the environment, and the territory. The first edition brought together students from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), the Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR), and the Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur (UNTELS), who presented research developed through academic courses, student projects, and research initiatives. The works included in this volume reflect the commitment, creativity, and scientific rigour with which students address the challenges of understanding, protecting, and sustainably managing water, the environment, and the territory.
