Digestibilidad y energía digestible del extruido del frijol mucuna (Stizolobium deeringianum) en cuyes (Cavia porcellus)

Abstract

El trabajo experimental fue llevado a cabo en las instalaciones del Laboratorio de Evaluación Nutricional de Alimentos (LENA) del Departamento Académico de Nutrición de la Facultad de Zootecnia de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), en la ciudad de Lima, con el objetivo de determinar los coeficientes de digestibilidad in vivo y la energía digestible del frijol mucuna (Stizolobium deeringianum) extruido en cuyes. Se emplearon 10 cuyes machos, de tres meses de edad y 820g de peso promedio, proveniente de la granja de cuyes de Cieneguilla de la UNALM. El estudio tuvo dos etapas, una de adaptación o acostumbramiento (14 días) y otra de colección de heces (5 días), distribuyéndose los cuyes al azar en dos grupos experimentales de cinco animales cada uno; el primer grupo recibió una dieta basal compuesta por 100% subproducto de trigo y el segundo una dieta experimental compuesta por 70% de la dieta basal y 30% del extruido de frijol Mucuna; ubicándose, cada uno de los animales en jaulas metabólicas individuales. Los análisis químicos requeridos se llevaron a cabo en el LENA. Los coeficientes de digestibilidad, obtenidos, para la materia seca, materia orgánica, proteína cruda, extracto etéreo, fibra cruda, ceniza, y extracto libre de nitrógeno, fueron de 75.54 %, 76.18 %, 87.88%, 90.52%, 47.27%, 58.47%, 75.71%. El valor de la energía digestible en base seca fue de 3.64% Kcal/g.

The experimental work was carried out in the facilities of the Laboratory of Nutritional Evaluation of Foods (LENA) of the Academic Department of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Zootechnics of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), in the city of Lima, with the objective of determining the in vivo digestibility coefficients and the digestible energy of extruded mucuna bean (Stizolobium deeringianum) in guinea pigs. Ten male guinea pigs, three months old and weighing an average of 820g, from the Cieneguilla guinea pig farm of the UNALM were used. The study had two stages, one of adaptation or habituation (14 days) and another of feces collection (5 days), distributing the guinea pigs randomly in two experimental groups of five animals each; the first group received a basal diet composed of 100% wheat by-product and the second an experimental diet composed of 70% of the basal diet and 30% of the extruded Mucuna bean; placing each of the animals in individual metabolic cages. The required chemical analyses were carried out at LENA. The digestibility coefficients obtained for dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber, ash, and nitrogen free extract were 75.54%, 76.18%, 87.88%, 90.52%, 47.27%, 58.47%, 75.71%. The digestible energy value on a dry basis was 3.64% Kcal/g.
