Abstract
El presente trabajo desarrolla una propuesta técnica orientada a mejorar el funcionamiento de mesas de fertilización en sistemas de fertirriego aplicados a cultivos florícolas, con énfasis en la región de la Sabana de Bogotá. En este contexto, la floricultura colombiana se ha consolidado como una de las principales actividades agroindustriales de exportación del país, con un posicionamiento destacado en el mercado internacional y un aporte significativo a la economía nacional. El crecimiento sostenido del sector ha venido acompañado de nuevos desafíos, particularmente en lo que respecta al uso eficiente y preciso de recursos como el agua y los fertilizantes. En la actualidad, es común observar la transición hacia sistemas de riego por goteo en reemplazo de métodos tradicionales como el riego por “cacho” o con manguera. De igual forma, en lo que respecta a la aplicación de nutrientes, se han utilizado históricamente diversos mecanismos (como inyectores hidráulicos, Venturi, bombas dosificadoras o de inyección directa) con distintos niveles de eficiencia y control. No obstante, durante la última década, se ha incrementado significativamente la adopción de sistemas conocidos como mesas de fertilización, o dosing systems (como se les conoce en inglés), debido a su versatilidad, precisión y capacidad de adaptación. En particular, el modelo Fertikit 3G de Netafim se presenta como una solución modular, flexible y escalable, capaz de responder de manera efectiva a los requerimientos técnicos de un sector en constante evolución.
The following document develops a technical proposal aimed to improving the performance of dosing systems in fertigation applied to floriculture crops, with a particular focus on the region of Sabana de Bogotá. In this context, Colombian floriculture has established itself as one of the country’s leading agro-industrial export activities, achieving a prominent position in the international market and making a significant contribution to the national economy. The sustained growth of the sector has been accompanied by new challenges, particularly regarding the efficient and precise use of resources such as water and fertilizers. Currently, the transition toward drip irrigation systems is commonly observed, replacing traditional methods such as “cacho” irrigation or hose-based watering. Likewise, in terms of nutrient application, various mechanisms have historically been employed (including hydraulic injectors, Venturi systems, dosing pumps, or direct injection pumps), each offering different levels of efficiency and control. However, over the past decade, the adoption of systems known as dosing systems has increased significantly due to their versatility, precision, and adaptability. In particular, Netafim’s Fertikit 3G model stands out as a modular, flexible, and scalable solution capable of effectively meeting the technical requirements of a sector in constant evolution.
