Abstract
La acuicultura ha superado a la pesca como fuente principal de producción acuática, con el camarón blanco del Pacífico (Penaeus vannamei) destacando por su importancia económica global. La acuicultura más allá del impacto económico impulsa el desarrollo rural, sustentado por la innovación, que permite optimizar cultivos, la competitividad y la seguridad alimentaria. En este contexto, el alimento balanceado representa hasta el 70% de los costos directos de producción, siendo un factor clave para la sostenibilidad y rentabilidad del cultivo. Esta investigación analiza el desarrollo de alimentos balanceados innovadores en empresas líderes. El trabajo se sustenta en la experiencia profesional en áreas de producción experimental y ensayos biológicos, enfocándose en tres líneas estratégicas: salud, producción y economía. Se describen las metodologías empleadas para la formulación de nuevas dietas, desde la identificación de desafíos productivos, recolección de información nutricional, selección de ingredientes, formulación técnica y pruebas piloto, hasta la evaluación biológica en sistemas controlados. Las innovaciones incluyen dietas funcionales con aditivos como ácidos orgánicos, aceites esenciales y nucleótidos para fortalecer el sistema inmunológico; dietas para condiciones ambientales adversas como bajas temperaturas o salinidades; y dietas costo-eficientes formuladas con ingredientes alternativos. Estas soluciones han demostrado mejoras en parámetros productivos como conversión alimenticia, supervivencia y crecimiento. La implementación de tecnología de procesamiento (peletizado y extrusión) junto con análisis fisicoquímicos y pruebas en Centros Experimentales permite validar la eficacia de los productos antes de su comercialización. Los resultados indican que el enfoque integral ha contribuido significativamente a la optimización del modelo nutricional para P. vannamei, respondiendo a las exigencias del mercado y promoviendo la acuicultura sostenible. Esta experiencia demuestra que la articulación entre investigación aplicada e innovación tecnológica es fundamental para afrontar los retos actuales de la industria camaronera.

Beyond its economic impact, aquaculture drives rural development, supported by innovation, which allows for the optimization of crops, competitiveness, and food security. In this context, feed represents up to 70% direct production costs, being a key factor for the sustainability and profitability of the farm. This research analyzes the development of innovative feeds in leading companies. The work is based on professional experience in experimental production and biological trials, focusing on three strategic lines: health, production, and economy. The methodologies used for the formulation of new diets are described, from the identification of production challenges, collection of nutritional information, ingredient selection, technical formulation, and pilot testing, to biological evaluation in controlled systems. The innovations include functional diets with additives such as organic acids, essential oils, and nucleotides to strengthen the immune system; diets for adverse environmental conditions such as low temperatures or salinity; and cost-effective diets formulated with alternative ingredients. These solutions have demonstrated improvements in production parameters such as feed conversion, survival, and growth. The implementation of processing technology (pelleting and extrusion) along with physicochemical analysis and testing at Experimental Centers allows for the validation of product efficacy prior to commercialization. The results indicate a comprehensive approach has significantly contributed to optimizing the nutritional model for P. vannamei, responding to market demands and promoting sustainable aquaculture. This experience demonstrates that the integration of applied research and technological innovation is essential to addressing the current challenges of the shrimp industry.
