This professional development project was developed with the main objective of improving the reporting of safety management tools using Power BI in a mining construction company, from January to June 2025. It began with the collection of safety deviation observations in a database visualized in a dynamic report. The Power BI tool was used for this purpose, which consists of a reporting platform where information can be analyzed by work front, responsible supervisor, critical risks, management documents, and substandard acts or conditions. Based on this analyzed information, action plans were created focusing on the most recurring deviations. Thirty observations were recorded in June, representing a 36.17% decrease from the total of 47 observations in January. Likewise, the average number of observations reported during the second quarter of 2025 was 28, representing a 26.95% decrease compared to the average of 38.33 observations reported in the first quarter. An improvement was observed in the reporting of observations made with Power BI between January and June 2025 through security management tools. Data was classified more accurately, providing better information. Before implementation, reporting was based on reactive indicators that were not sufficiently useful for the project's reality, and the management tools did not address recurring observations. Therefore, the collection of observations is now more detailed, allowing for better analysis and decision-making that is more focused on the identified deviations. The reporting of observations and the analysis must be aligned with the project's context to enable better decision-making.
