Abstract
This research aimed to analyze the influence of inquiry skills on the entrepreneurial intention of students enrolled in the Agribusiness Master’s Program at the National Agrarian University La Molina. The study was basic in nature, correlational in scope, cross-sectional non-experimental in design, and quantitative in approach. The population consisted of all students enrolled in the program, and the sample included 112 participants selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, composed of 24 items for the inquiry skills variable and 55 items for the entrepreneurial intention variable. The instrument showed high reliability, with Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.930 and 0.941, respectively. Descriptive results showed a predominance of high and very high levels in both variables. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test indicated non-normal data distribution; therefore, Spearman’s Rho correlation was applied. The findings revealed a positive, significant, and moderate relationship between inquiry skills and entrepreneurial intention (Rho = 0.567; p = 0.000). Likewise, the dimensions of focusing (Rho = 0.429), exploration (Rho = 0.519), reflection (Rho = 0.546), and application (Rho = 0.517) also showed significant associations with entrepreneurial intention. It is concluded that strengthening inquiry skills contributes substantially to the development of entrepreneurial attitudes and represents a strategic component in training professionals capable of promoting innovation and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
