El presente estudio desarrolló un modelo hidrológico e hidráulico para evaluar las inundaciones en el centro poblado La Morada, empleando como base geométrica el tramo del río Marta comprendido entre el km 0+000 y el km 0+960, correspondiente al levantamiento topográfico disponible y no al inicio natural del río. Las precipitaciones de diseño para los periodos de retorno de 50 y 100 años fueron estimadas a partir de información simulada corregida del producto RAIN4PE, debido a la ausencia de estaciones meteorológicas en la zona, constituyendo el insumo principal en la generación de caudales de diseño empleados en el modelamiento hidrológico. Los caudales fueron ajustados mediante información de campo y utilizados como condiciones de borde en el modelamiento hidráulico. Los resultados permitieron identificar las zonas de mayor susceptibilidad a inundación, principalmente en los sectores próximos al cauce del río. El modelo hidráulico reprodujo adecuadamente el comportamiento de los eventos extremos recabados en campo, permitiendo delimitar las áreas inundables y conocer la dinámica del desborde del río Marta. Los resultados obtenidos constituyen una base técnica relevante para la gestión del riesgo, el ordenamiento territorial y la planificación de medidas de mitigación en el centro pobla La Morada.
This study developed a hydrological and hydraulic model to analyze flood hazards in the town of La Morada, using as geometric basis the surveyed reach of the Marta River between km 0+000 and km 0+960, which corresponds to the available topographic survey of the channel rather than the natural beginning of the river. The design rainfall for return periods of 50 and 100 years was estimated using bias-corrected simulated data from the RAIN4PE product due to the absence of meteorological stations in the area. These rainfall estimates served as the main input for generating the design flows used in the hydrological modeling. The resulting flows were adjusted using field measurements and incorporated as boundary conditions in the hydraulic model. The simulations allowed the identification of the areas most susceptible to flooding, showing that sectors located closest to the river channel experience the highest levels of impact. The hydraulic model adequately reproduced the observed field conditions, enabling an accurate delineation of flood-prone areas and a detailed characterization of the overflow dynamics of the Marta River. The findings provide a relevant technical basis for flood-risk management, land-use planning, and the design of mitigation measures in the town of La Morada.
