Abstract
El ingreso y/o diseminación de plagas y/o enfermedades fitosanitarias y zoosanitarias cuarentenarias al país, pueden traer pérdidas económicas en especial al sector agrario; ya que pueden afectar la riqueza agrícola y ganadera, por ello el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria – SENASA de nuestro país, tiene instalado puestos de control externo e interno en todo el territorio, donde personal entrenado, Inspector Oficial; se encargan de hacer cumplir los procedimientos establecidos para evitar el ingreso de plagas y enfermedades. En el presente trabajo se presentan las diferentes actividades que realizan éstos, tanto en los puestos de control externo como interno. Dentro de sus competencias está la inspección de equipaje de pasajeros que ingresan al país, así como la inspección y fiscalización de vehículos que movilizan mercancías pecuarias y el registro de dicha información en la base de datos del SENASA. Después de haber cumplido la labor como Inspector Oficial, se puede concluir que la función de éstos y el fiel cumplimiento de las normativas y procedimientos realizados en los puestos de control, protegen el estatus sanitario del país.
The entry and/or spread of quarantine pests and/or phytosanitary and zoosanitary diseases into the country can bring economic losses, especially to the agricultural sector; since they can affect agricultural and livestock wealth, which is why the National Agrarian Health Service – SENASA of our country, has installed external and internal control posts throughout the territory, where trained personnel, Official Inspector; They are responsible for enforcing established procedures to prevent the entry of pests and diseases. Among its powers is the inspection of luggage of passengers entering the country, as well as the inspection and inspection of vehicles that transport livestock merchandise and the registration of said information in the SENASA database. After having completed the work as Official Inspector, it can be concluded that their function and faithful compliance with the regulations and procedures carried out at the checkpoints protect the health status of the country.
