Abstract

This work was carried out in the districts of Lamas, San Roque de Cumbaza, Rumisapa and Pinto Recodo. The methodology included a census of the selected districts. These were part of the Project "Improvement of the Competitiveness Service of the Sacha Inchi Value Chain to Producers in four Provinces of the San Martín Region". The project was executed in the period 2015-2018 and included the installation of new production systems, genetic improvement, technical assistance, training and organization. The collection of information used quantitative and qualitative techniques. For this reason, 65 surveys were carried out for Sacha Inchi producers, including knowledge information and technology adoption of the new production systems, followed by corroboration of data through field visits. SPSS 22.0 software was used through linear regression to correlate the variables and be able to determine which factors influence the adoption of new production systems. The adopting producers have an economic income between S/101 and 500, and a close relationship with educational level, in which the highest percentage of adopting Sacha Inchi producers have incomplete primary school. Likewise, the production systems most used by small farmers in the province of Lamas is the system with tutoring (dead tutor or live tutor), which is reflected in the productivity, where the production system using dead tutor with trellis reaches 1 844.25 kg/ha and the conventional type 712.40 kg/ha.
