Abstract
El trabajo de investigación se realizó en el Laboratorio de Semillas de la Facultad de Agronomía de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina con la finalidad de realizar la caracterización morfológica (parte externa) y fisiológica (prueba de germinación) de semillas de Lupinus spp. andino. Las semillas provinieron de tres lugares de la región Áncash: Tuyo Alto, Tumanca y Canray Grande y fueron clasificadas por Huaringa (2025). La caracterización morfológica se hizo de acuerdo con los descriptores para Lupinus del Consejo Internacional de Recursos Fitogenéticos (CIRF). Los tratamientos pregerminativos aplicados para el ensayo de germinación fueron el ácido sulfúrico (H2SO4) al 98%, ácido giberélico (AG) al 12.5% de pureza comercial, escarificación mecánica (lija), lija + ácido giberélico (AG) al 12.5% de pureza comercial y un control. El diseño experimental empleado fue un diseño completamente al azar (DCA) con cuatro repeticiones y 20 unidades experimentales, junto a su análisis de varianza (ANVA) y su prueba Tukey para la comparación de medias de los tratamientos, apoyado también de la prueba no paramétrica de Kruskal-Wallis. En los ensayos se determinó que las semillas de Tuyo Alto no tuvieron resultados relevantes en el porcentaje de plántulas normales al igual que Tumanca; en cambio, el tratamiento con lija de Canray Grande presentó los mejores resultados por la superación de la dormancia de las semillas.
This research was conducted at the Seed Laboratory of the Faculty of Agronomy at the National Agrarian University La Molina to characterize the morphology (external features) and physiology (germination test) of Andean Lupinus spp. seeds. The seeds originated from three locations in the Áncash region: Tuyo Alto, Tumanca, and Canray Grande and had been classified by Huaringa (2025). Morphological characterization followed the International Board for Plant Genetic Resources (IBPGR) descriptors for Lupinus. The pre-germination treatments applied in the germination assay included 98% sulfuric acid (H2SO4), gibberellic acid (GA) at 12.5% commercial purity, mechanical scarification (sandpaper), sandpaper combined with gibberellic acid (GA) at 12.5% commercial purity, and a control. A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed, featuring four replicates and 20 experimental units, accompanied by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Tukey’s test for mean comparison, supplemented by the non-parametric Kruskal-Walli’s test. The assays revealed that seeds from Tuyo Alto and Tumanca did not yield significant results regarding the percentage of normal seedlings; in contrast, the sandpaper treatment applied to seeds from Canray Grande produced the best results, effectively overcoming seed dormancy.
