Rendimiento en grano seco de líneas promisorias en Arverja (Pisum sativum L.) en el Valle del Mantaro

Abstract

El empleo de semillas híbridas por sus altos rendimientos implica la elevación de los costos de producción de los pequeños agricultores, sin embargo, la hibridación en cultivos de autopolinización representa una gran ventaja porque se pueden recombinar caracteres y seleccionar líneas adecuadas para diferentes condiciones medioambientales. El objetivo principal de la investigación es evaluar el comportamiento de líneas promisorias de la cruza Utrillo x Remate en la Estación experimental “El Mantaro” de la Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú situada a una altitud de 3319 m.s.n.m. (11 ° 5´ S, 75 ° 23´ W) entre los meses de octubre del 2017 hasta marzo del 2018 en el valle del Mantaro, Junín. Se empleó un Diseño de Bloques Completos al Azar con diez tratamientos y tres repeticiones, se evaluaron los días a la floración y a madurez de cosecha, altura de planta, color de hoja, color de vaina, curvatura de vaina, textura de vaina, color de hilium, color de grano, forma de grano, textura de grano, rendimiento de grano, número de ramas, peso de 100 semillas, vainas por planta, lóculos por vaina, granos por vaina, peso, largo, ancho de vaina. Los datos de las variables cuantitativas fueron sometidos al análisis de variancia y la prueba de comparación de medias se hizo según Duncan (α ≤ 0.05). Las líneas mostraron un fenotipo verde claro similar al parental Remate con grano de textura rugosa. Solo UPUF8-9 presentó un grano crema como el progenitor Remate. Las líneas fueron más precoces a la floración y madurez de cosecha que el parental Remate, pero más tardías que Utrillo; todas las líneas presentaron plantas más altas que Utrillo, pero solo UPUF8-10 fue superior a Remate. El número de ramas por planta, peso de 100 granos secos, número de vainas por planta, número de granos por vaina y peso de vainas secas no mostraron diferencia estadística entre sí, siendo las líneas de similar comportamiento que los progenitores. Por otro lado, se encontró diferencia respecto al número de lóculos por vaina y rendimiento, los mejores rendimientos de grano seco fueron obtenidos por las variedades Remate, Utrillo y la línea UPUF8-10.

The use of hybrid seeds because of its high performance implies high costs of production to the small farmers; however, the hybridization in self-pollinating crops represents a great advantage due to the possibility of recombining characters and choosing the adequate lines for different environmental conditions. The main objective from this research is to evaluate the behavior of the promising lines in cruza Utrillo x Remate in the Experimental Station called “El Mantaro” that is located in the Center of Perú University at 3,319 meters above sea level (11 ° 5´ S, 75 ° 23´ W) in the Mantaro Valley in Junin, it was done during the months of October 2017 until March 2018. Full blocks design was used randomly with 10 treatments and 3 repetitions in order to evaluate the flowering days, the harvest maturity, highness plant, color leaf, color sheath, curvature sheath, texture sheath, color hilium, color grain, shape grain, texture grain, performance of the grain, number of branches, 100 seeds weight, sheath by each plant, locules per sheath, grains per sheath, weight, length and width sheath. The results of the quantitative data were under variance analysis and the means comparison test was made according to Duncan (α ≤ 0.05). The lines showed a phenotype clear green color similar to the parental Remate with a grain of rough texture. Only UPUF8- 9 showed a grain of ivory color as the parent, Remate. The lines were premature to the flowering and maturity harvest than the parental Remate, but later than Utrillo; all the lines presented higher plants than Utrillo but only UPUF8-10 were superior than a Remate. The numbers of branches by plant, 100 dry grains weight, numbers of sheath by plant, numbers of grains by sheath and weight of dried sheath didn’t show statistical differences among them, therefore the lines were similar to the parents ones. On the other side, a difference was found respect to the locules by sheath number and performance; the best results of dry grain were obtained by the diversity Remate, Utrillo and the line UPUF8-10.
