Aplicación de humatos de potasio y de la fertilización NPK en tres híbridos de melón (Cucumis melo L.), bajo riego por goteo

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con la finalidad de determinar el efecto del nivel nutricional en el rendimiento de tres híbridos de melón (Cucumismelo L.) bajo riego por goteo. El ensayo se realizó en la Unidad de Investigación de Riegos, del Departamento Académico de Suelos de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, entre enero y abril del 2012. Se instaló el 7 de enero del 2012 y la cosecha se realizó a los 89 días después de la siembra (DDS). A nivel de campo se probaron en tres híbridos de melón Yosemite, Magellan y PS – 38,con cuatro niveles nutricionales; NPK (160-100-160), NPK + humato comercial (300 l/ha.) y NPK + humatos comerciales tratados con ácido acético (300 l) probados en base a un testigo no fertilizado-no aplicado (N0). El diseño experimental utilizado fue el de parcelas divididas.El requerimiento total de riego durante el período del cultivo para los tres híbridos de melón fue de 4,085 m 3 /ha. La respuesta en el rendimiento a la fertilización NPK es altamente significativa siendo la diferencia porcentual del 151 % respecto del testigo no fertilizado-no aplicado. No existe respuesta a la aplicación de humatos de potasio. Para híbridos de melón el mayor rendimiento caracteriza al híbrido PS – 38 con 31.82 kg/ha, con diferencias porcentuales del 105 % respecto de Yosemite y del 54 % respecto de Magellan. Para las variables de crecimiento, los mayores valores en tamaño de planta, área foliar y materia seca total se presentan en el híbrido PS – 38 con valores promedios de 1.44 m, 7,156.9 cm 2 /planta y 274.9 g/planta, respectivamente. Siendo la diferencia porcentual de 29.7, 49.7 y 51.2 % respecto del menor valor.En relación a los parámetros agronómicos, los mayoresvalores para índice de área foliar (IAF) y eficiencia de uso de riego (EUA) caracterizó al híbrido PS – 38 con 0.95 m 2 /ha y con 7.79 kg/m 3 ; los valores altos para índice de cosecha (IC) y coeficiente de transpiración se presentó en el híbrido Yosemite con 80.2 % y con 1,432.6 l/kg.Finalmente, el análisis agroeconómico del cultivo indica un índice de rentabilidad (IR) promedio de 93.4 %. Para niveles nutricionales el menor valor del IR caracteriza al Testigo (N0) con 41.1 % y el mayor valor corresponde a NPK con un IR de 177.0 %. This research was conducted in order to determine the effect of nutritional level in the yield of three hybrids of melon (Cucumismelo L.) under drip irrigation. The assay was performed in the Irrigation Research Unit, Soil Academic Department of the Universidad NacionalAgraria La Molina, between January and April 2012. The assay was installed on January 7, 2012 and the harvest was done 89 days after sowing (DAS). At field were tested three hybrids of melon; Yosemite, Magellan and PS - 38 and four nutritional levels; NPK (160-100-160), NPK + humate commercial (300 l/ha), NPK + commercial humate treated with acetic acid (300 l/ha) and an unfertilized witness-not applied (N0). An experimental split plot design was used. The total requirement of irrigation during the growing season for the three melon hybrids was of 4,085 m 3 /ha. The yield response to the NPK fertilizer is highly significant with a percentage difference of 151% compared to unfertilized witness-not applied. There is no response to the application of potassium humates. Regarding the hybrid melon the highest yield was presented by the hybrid PS-38 with 31.82 kg / ha, with percentage differences of 105% compared to Yosemite and of 54% from Magellan. For the growth variables, the highest values in plant size, leaf area and total dry matter were present in the hybrid PS - 38 with average values of 1.44 m, 7156.9 cm 2 /plant and 274.9 g/plant, respectively, being the percentage difference of 29.7, 49.7 y 51.2 % compared to the lowest value. Regarding the agronomic parameters, the highest values for leaf area index (IAF) and irrigation use efficiency (IUE) characterized the hybrid PS - 38 with 0.95 m 2 /ha and 7.79 kg/m 3 ; the highest values for harvest index (IC) and the transpiration coefficient were presented in the hybrid Yosemite with 80.2% and 1432.6 l/kg. Finally, the agro-economic analysis indicates an average profitability index (IR) of 93.4%. Regarding nutritional levels the lowest value of IR characterized the Witness (N0) with 41.1% and highest value corresponded to NPK with an IR of 177.0%. For hybrid under study, the lowest value characterized to the hybrid Yosemite with an IR of 31.9% and the highest value is presented in the hybrid PS - 38 with an IR of 170.1%.
